I believed that homeschooling had the potential of delivering the best possible education to my children, because we would not have to hold back my kids until other kids caught up with them. However, most curriculum available was woefully behind what was available at better public schools. And certainly it was behind what was available at most of the better private schools.

In short, it seemed to me that the potential of homeschooling has never been fully realized.

That no longer seems to be the case. Fortunately I found something that lives up to the potential that has always existed with homeschooling. As anyone knows specific businesses have their own “business language” whether it is engineering, financial, legal or commercial. In each of these areas and many others certain terminology and acronyms are used there and practically nowhere else. It is therefore even more daunting to embark on a new career in a new country with a new language – in a business that also has a subset of the English language!

Even trying to get a job has its own challenges – resume writing and cover letters – along with the actual interviews themselves can present tremendous anxiety and make a well qualified and competent person act and sound like they don’t know anything at all. Because they are terrified to say the wrong thing or their resume is full of errors and bad vocabulary they make a poor presentation and might possibly blow their chance at the job because they weren’t properly prepared.

For those venturing out into the business world it is important to be up to speed on all areas of your intended business endeavors. With many online resources available – many of them free of charge – you can practice your business English skills prior to your interview and you can have someone ensure that your resume gives you the appropriate presentation you deserve.
