English Used in Business
Learning English as a second language is difficult enough for someone who comes to the United States on vacation or to study but when you are a professional who will be in the business world, it poses even more challenges.
As anyone knows specific businesses have their own “business language” whether it is engineering, financial, legal or commercial. In each of these areas and many others certain terminology and acronyms are used there and practically nowhere else. It is therefore even more daunting to embark on a new career in a new country with a new language – in a business that also has a subset of the English language!
